Born and raised in the DMV area, I moved to NYC in 2015 to study journalism at NYU. In the time I've lived in the city, I've worked as a copywriter in the high-end fashion industry, as a music journalist covering Black artists, and as an e-commerce writer for the New York Times. I've also adopted a black cat, moved apartments five times, taught myself how to string together a grand total of three chords on a guitar, and learned how to find joy in all the little moments that make up this big city.​
